The Amerimutt Question

The Amerimutt Question refers to the incident, as well as the events leading up to December 27th, 2024[1], also known[2] as "the great enslavening". Following the incident, the slave role was introduced in order to limit the amount of representatives for each country.
While there's some dispute over what the question in question (heh) is, it is largely accepted that a high amount of unattented Americans in chat generally makes things not very awesome.
Background
The repeated breaking of the "one person per country" policy by the WWO council resulted in a massive American immigration crisis. Historians say[2] the influx of American members made the server borderline unusable and nearly indistinguishable from the average /soc/ server.

The immigration crisis reached a tipping point on the of the 26th of December, following a /soc/ ad that resulted in 15-20 Americans joining and no one else, which, combined with the lighter verification process that was used at the time, made a huuuuuge mess in chat. For reasons not exactly known, this group of new Americans was extremely volatile, derailing chat so hard that POLAND, no longer recognizing his home, was sure he accidentally joined a /pol/ server and nearly left.
Initially, the WWO assumed that this would not become a happening, as one rightfully would. However, even a truecel is fake twice a day, and the situation quickly got out of hand as the Americans began inviting their friends to the server. With DIXIELAND (Caligula) riling them up to "revel in the coal" and multiple server members threatening to leave, the WWO could no longer keep up with the Yankees' shenanigans. The server was promptly locked to admins only, all the invite links were pruned, and the WWO convened to discuss what they called "the Amerimutt Question".
The Amerimutt Question
After about 2 minutes, the council reached several conclusions:
- Even if they got rid of the disruptive Americans and only kept the good ones, in the long term this would still result in a disproportionate amount of American representatives, since there's, like, a billion of them[3]. Therefore, trying to control their numbers is futile.
- This issue is not exclusive to Americansâevery country could eventually have a large number of representatives if the council deems them cool enough, meaning whatever solution the council eventually came up with would have to be applied universally.
The council then proceeded to watch Instagram reels for the next 3 hours, during which at least 2 members decided to take a break from Discord.
Delusional rantings end here.
Aftermath and Everlasting Butthurt

The very next day, the WWO implemented the slave role, allowing them to continue pursuing the goal of collecting one person from every country while also letting duplicates stay in the server as slaves of the current representative of their country.
The slave role proved to be effective against mentally unstable individuals, and in particular against Americans. It is estimated[3] that 4 out of 5 Americans who join the server stop using it almost immediately upon realizing they're, by default, inferior to someone else.
However, as of May 2025, some feel[4] that the slave role does not address the underlying issue of Americans being "so fr*king [sic] obnoxious". American presence in chat frequently results in butthurt for no explicable reason, even if the Americans behave themselves. Some experts[2] attribute this phenomenon, commonly known[2] as the Everlasting Butthurt, to the same reason the slave role is so effective against Americansâinsecurities about their country being inferior to the US resulting in extremely emotional reactions where ones would not normally be seen in similar exchanges between non-Americans (an exception to this would be Balkanites).
