The beginning of The Coal Coup dates back to December 2024. [[World Intelligence Agency|WIA]] operatives were aware of it from the start, and began surveillance in order to ensure peace. A small group was formed containing the coaliest of members. They had grown bitter towards the staff team and the world as a whole. The WIA is still unsure of the particular cause of this, but it is suspected to be some kind of autoimmune disease of the soul. This underground "Coal Factory" operated for months, creating fanart and fan songs for the staff team.

== The Attack ==
On February 25th 2025, the Coal Coup began their attack in response to DIXIELAND (Caligula) being banned from the world. This resulted in DIXIELAND acquiring administrator permissions from [[Antarctica|ANTARCTICA]] The staff team's permissions were removed, and DIXIELAND began his [[Niggerbabble|victory speech]], as the chats flooded with coal. The staff team immediately moved to a group DM.

During this time, The Coal Factory released a decree, imitating the official [[WWO Council|council]] decrees. In this decree, it was revealed that The Coal Factory intended to hold a public, democratic trial of each staff member, deciding if they would keep their staff permissions during the New Coal Order.

[[Agartha (cocktator)|AGARTHA]] was able to reason with ANTARCTICA to which she removed DIXIELAND's permissions and transferred ownership to AGARTHA. Most members of the world were purged to minimize risk of the server and accounts being deleted from mass reports. This was the catalyst for the great migration.

The nothinginator was an experimental weapon being developed by [[Rimfire|PORTUGAL (Rimfire)]] under the guise of [[Droyd Industries]]. The weapon was untested and unstable, but there was no time to hesitate. It was quickly unloaded onto the entire Coal Factory in response to the coup. The weapon worked as intended, rendering their entire coup nullified. Doomed for nothing to ever happen, as per Chud's Law of Happenings.
